Superintendent
Pete Kennedy holds a BA in Mathematics from the State University of New York and an MA in Educational Leadership from Columbia University.
During his 30 years as an educator Pete has represented the United States as a Fulbright Scholar in the Philippines, taught Mathematics in the USA, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia and served as a school administrator in the USA, Brazil, Italy and before joining TH School at the United Nations International School of Hanoi.
Pete is thrilled to join TH School as its first Superintendent and looks forward to working with a talented team of Vietnamese and international educators to develop a high quality educational program which combines the best of international and Vietnamese standards.
International Primary & KG Principal
Yvette Jeffrey joins TH School as an experienced Primary Principal and Headteacher with over 15 years of successful leadership in international schools in Spain, England, Malaysia and most recently Dubai, where she led a large Primary Department of over 600 students.
At the Piasau School in Malaysia, Yvette took the school to the highest level for quality learning and standards being awarded “Mastering” status through external accreditation, becoming only the second school in the world to achieve this accolade.
Yvette holds a BA in European Studies and Spanish, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Loughborough College and the National Professional Qualification in Headship from Manchester University.
International Secondary Principal
Greg is from Australia and a science teacher by training. He holds a BA in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Newcastle and an MA in Educational Administration from the University of New England. Greg has served as a teacher, principal and head of school in Australia, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, the Solomon Islands and Switzerland.
Vietnamese Kindergarten Principal
Ms. Thảo Hương has 10 years of professional management experience in Viet Bun Kindergarten. She also participated in setting up, training and managing Vinschool Kindergarten system. For 7 years, she served as Deputy Head of Early Years Education - Hanoi Education and Training Department and was in charge of non-public Kindergarten with foreign elements. She has joined TH School with enthusiasm to build a holistic educational environment where children are respected, loved and nurtured with a passion for learning.
Vietnamese Primary Principal
With a Bachelor of Primary Education from Hanoi National University of Education, Ms. Cúc has been working in the education sector for 34 years. She spent 14 years working as a teacher and 20 years working on a school management board. Her management experience consists of 7 years as a Vice Principal and 13 years as a Principal within a number of schools in the Đống Đa District. All of these schools are national standard schools and excellent city schools awarded with grade 2 and 3 Labour Medals.
Ms. Cúc has been recognised as the Emulation Soldier for many years and has received the commendation from the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee.
As an educator, Ms. Cúc strives to provide her children with a stimulating and well-equipped learning environment, which produces confident and independent learners with a global awareness.
Vietnamese Secondary Principal
Mr. Kim Ngọc Chính holds a Bachelor of Physics and a Masters degree in Solid State Physics from Hanoi National University of Education (1975-1977). He is an award winning teacher with 40 years of experience in education and 15 years at the management level. From 2003 to 2014, he was the Principal of Lam Son Specialized High School in Thanh Hóa province.
He has had 22 years of specialised physics teaching, in which time he has trained many students to reach levels of national excellence, three of whom won International Physics Olympiad awards. For his dedication to national education, Mr. Chính was awarded the Labour Creation Certificate, recognized as a national Emulation Soldier and awarded Grade 2 Labour Medal.
Mr. Chính strives to improve the quality of cultural and life skills education within Vietnamese schools and is focused on the international integration of Vietnamese students.
International Principal · Hoà Lạc
Shane is from New Zealand and a Science and Chemistry teacher by training. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Education from Massey University. He has over seventeen years combined experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics and several years experience in Educational Leadership, having served schools in New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Ethiopia and China. Shane is excited to have joined TH School as the founding principal of Hoà Lạc and is looking forward to increasing the student body over the next few years.
Boarding Director · Chùa Bộc & Hoà Lạc
Sandie holds a BA in English from Teeside University and a Masters of Teaching from the University of Sydney. Specializing in ESL and boarding management, she has taught English and ESL in Australia and is a member of the Australian Boarding Schools Association. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, visiting historic places, and renovating old houses.
