The Curriculum
A modern approach to learning based on the latest research
TH School has worked with international consultants from WCL School Management Group and Fieldwork Education to develop a unique programme that will offer students the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), the Cambridge International AS & A Level Qualifications or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Regardless of grade level or curricular focus, all TH students and faculty will eagerly engage in service learning opportunities.
The overall language of instruction in all TH Schools is English, with a special focus on Vietnamese language, literature and culture. Pre-K students, for example, may study components of the Vietnamese curriculum for 45 minutes per day in Vietnamese.
The focus on Vietnamese language, literature and culture will continue offering developmentally appropriate Vietnamese learning experiences throughout primary, middle and high school, culminating with grade 11 & 12 IB diploma students taking Vietnamese Language & Literature "A" and an IB-approved school-based syllabus course in Vietnamese History & Culture in Vietnamese.
Kindergarten
Children start their Kindergarten from two years old. Children from three to five years old will learn in both English and Vietnamese daily. With class sizes of less than 25 the teacher and teaching assistant will be able to provide high levels of care and attention to all our children.
Primary School
Our International Primary Curriculum (IPC) ensures rigorous learning through exciting and globally relevant themes. It uses the latest research into how children learn best and we tailor learning experiences so that students can deepen their understanding of their own culture and identity, whilst also developing an increasingly international perspective.
Secondary School
Accreditation. The TH Network of schools will apply for membership and accreditation with the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), the Council of International Schools (CIS), and other relevant bodies, including the IPC, IMYC, Cambridge, and IB.
